Happy Easter friends! I hope you had a good one with the people that matter most in your life. This will be one for the books for sure!
I am pretty sure my heart melted into a puddle on the floor. When mom and dad showed up for their session, their little boy was asleep so I asked for them to snuggle him while I got her ready so we could get a few of them together like this. It's not often that you capture your two year old sleeping, let alone being able to pose and capture them with the newest addition to the family.
This girl was three weeks old at the time of their session and you guys, she did amazing! She slept through nearly the entire session. She only woke up once or twice when we were moving her and then she'd go right back to sleep. This doesn't happen often with a baby this old because they start to get more sensitive to people moving them around.
This girl was a dream and so was her brother. Once he woke up, it took a little coaxing to get him to pose with his sister, but gosh, I am so happy we got the sleepy shots. They will be cherished forever.
It's funny how we can watch a child sleep all day and in our minds think they are the sweetest things on the face of the earth. When they are still, it seems the world stops just for a moment and we can breathe in and truly feel the love we have for them.
We mamas know once they are awake and the peace has ended, we are chasing them around like a circus clown! Some days we wonder why we had more than one. Anyone else feel this some days? I know I do, but I wouldn't trade them for the world.
I had the opportunity to photograph this boy as a newborn as well and it was so fun to see how much he has changed now that he's nearly two years old! He and his sister are going to be the best of friends and I cannot wait to watch them grow up together.
