April Family Session | Southern Utah Photographer

There's nothing I love more than seeing clients time + time again! This mama travels up each year to escape the Arizona heat and enjoy some time together with her family.

Every year she books a shoot for her boys, but this time, I talked her into joining them. There is nothing more special than being a mom and even being a photographer, I find it hard to get myself in front of the camera.

When you are gone, will you exist in photos with your kids? I sure hope so. This is the legacy we leave behind and having a tangible memory to go along with the stories our kids will continue to tell is such an amazing gift.

We create memories together. I'm no the gal that will ask you to look at the camera and say, "Cheese!" I believe that when you look at your photos you should feel what that moment felt like.

Kids are quirky + always say crazy things! I'll ask you to interact with them so when they say that crazy thing and you laugh, I am there to capture it + you can always look back on that image and remember why.

I look forward to April and her boys coming every year. They always have Grandma with them and it is so fun to chat life and catch up.

She teaches me so much about seeing the value within myself and in my work. Capturing her boys growing up is something she holds dear.

This year we headed up to Duck Creek. This is a place that April spent her childhood summers when she was young. She told me stories of the dog taking off and her brother falling in the pond.

April was excited for her boys to be able to fish at the same place she did growing up right after their session. They were headed back to the cabin to grab dad and grandpa so they could spend the afternoon together.

I love photographing you in places that are near and dear to your heart. It might sound cheesy, but those images will mean so much as you look back on them for years to come.
