A Home Built On Love and a Prayer Family Photos | Cedar City Utah
Would you guys believe me if I told you these two lived in a tent while building this house?
Yep, a tent... through winter and spring and then while pregnant! I guess if you can get pregnant while building a house AND living in a tent, your marriage can survive anything ;)
I don't know if I could do it that's for sure. I'm currently trying to talk the hubs into living in an RV while we build our next + he's not quite on board yet!
These guys were in a wall tent and she said their saving grace was the fact that they didn't have any kids... yet. They would drive to the Rec Center here in town to shower and it was rough!
By the end of this build, winter was approaching again as well as the end of her pregnancy. She told the hubs they better be able to move in or they needed to find another place to live!
This house meant a lot to them and I was so excited when they asked me to take photos in front of it. They were a little worried because they are now putting a porch on the front + the company wanted to start it the day before. They thought there would be equipment in the way, but we lucked out.
Lori was kind enough to show me around and guys, the inside of the home is as darling as the outside. She said for the sacrifices they made and their marriage barely surviving, building it themselves was so worth it because of the amount of money they saved.
To me, a house is just a place you spend time with the people you love. As long as you can cool off in the summer and stay warm in the winter, I'd prefer the savings to so I can do all the things with my people!
Another place that means a lot to them is the temple. We were pushing for time to get two locations in before sunset, but we did it! I am so glad we did because both locations were just beautiful.
Their poor little guy wasn't feeling well and by the end of the session he was over it, but what a trooper he was! That curly blonde hair and bright blue eyes could melt anyone's heart!
